There are a total of fifteen (15) lectures delivered over the four (4) modules of the CEPIA Graduate Diploma of Cardiac Electrophysiology. Each module consists of a series of lectures, each of which has an accompanying online assessment. Each assessment will be timed and consist of a number of multiple-choice questions. Assessment time limits and numbers of questions are detailed in the tables below
Every assessment must be completed successfully for the qualification to be obtained.
The lectures dealing with cardiac anatomy and physiology; cardiac pharmacology; principles of ablation; and mechanisms of arrhythmias contain knowledge which has been embedded in the units of competency that make up the Graduate Diploma. Satisfactory completion of the assessments associated with these lectures will gain credit towards various units of competency as listed in the following table.

Each assessment will become available immediately upon enrolment, however it is recommended that students first complete each specific module’s online education content before attempting any assessment. Assessments may be sat at any time, but the due date for assessment completion is 5 years from the date of enrolment. Each assessment must be sat and completed in a single, uninterrupted time period.
Unsatisfactory performance in any assessment does not preclude you from commencing, progressing through or completing subsequent modules. You are still able to commence subsequent modules regardless of how you perform in any assessment.

In order to receive a Graduate Diploma you must successfully complete all fifteen (15) online assessment activities to the required level of performance in the allocated time period as detailed above. If you fail to meet the required level of performance you may apply to resit an assessment in the Assessment Resit time period (fees detailed below).
Unsatisfactory performance in any assessment does not preclude you from commencing, progressing through or completing subsequent modules. You are still able to commence subsequent modules regardless of how you perform in any assessment.
Note that to receive the Graduate Diploma you must also complete all online assessments and all workbook activities successfully.
Procedure for failed (unsuccessful) online assessments:
If the initial (first) attempt is unsuccessful (fail), then students are able to resit the assessment free of charge (i.e the first resit / second attempt is free). Note that a new bank of questions will be delivered (i.e. the same questions will not be repeated)
If this second attempt (first resit) is again unsuccessful, then the student must schedule a mandatory personal online tutorial before commencing their third attempt (second resit), which will also incur a AUD$100 penalty fee to sit the assessment
For each subsequent failed attempt there will be a mandatory requirement to schedule a personal online tutorial and incur a AUD$100 penalty before attempting to resit another online assessment
